Hydrogen Group are supporting our pensions client in the search for an experienced Platform/Pension Transfers Manager to lead and optimise transfer operations within a growing and fast-paced business.
The Role
As the Transfers Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end pension transfer process, ensuring all activities are accurate, compliant, and efficient. You'll manage a dedicated team responsible for transfer operations, provide leadership and guidance, and drive continuous improvement across processes and systems.
This role suits someone with strong technical knowledge of pensions and platforms, and a proven ability to manage teams, implement process enhancements, and ensure exceptional service delivery to customers and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop the transfers team to achieve departmental and organisational goals.
- Oversee all aspects of pension and platform transfers, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.
- Manage workflows, monitor performance metrics, and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and customer outcomes.
- Act as a subject matter expert in transfers, particularly with experience of Origo systems and asset movements between providers.
- Ensure all transfer activities comply with regulatory and company standards.
- Address and resolve escalated transfer issues and complaints.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across transfer operations and documentation.
- Collaborate with senior management and compliance teams to maintain high operational standards and mitigate risk.
Experience & Skills
- Strong experience in pension or platform transfer operations within financial services.
- Proven people management experience with the ability to develop, motivate, and lead teams.
- Solid understanding of Origo transfer systems and pension transfer legislation.
- Strong process improvement mindset with experience implementing change in operational environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable managing performance, handling complex issues, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
