Our training programme involves providing regular sessions to professionals across a range of sectors, and researching and developing bespoke and specialist content, on request. You will play a key supportive role within SYEDA's training and education team, working alongside our Training and Education Coordinator to provide administrative, organisational and delivery-based support to our high-quality training programmes. This role will directly contribute to our mission of raising awareness of eating disorders, supporting early identification, and improving confidence among healthcare, education, and community professionals.
Main duties of the jobYou will support the smooth running of workshops (online, in-person, and pre-recorded sessions), assist in preparing materials and resources, liaise with our partners to understand training needs, manage our training diary and bookings, collect data, and contribute to the delivery of our training sessions.
About usSYEDA (South Yorkshire Eating Disorders Association) is a registered charity who provide support for individuals affected by eating disorders and disordered eating, as well as their friends and family. We have been providing support for 30 years. As well as our therapeutic services, we provide regular training to professionals across South Yorkshire, helping to raise awareness of eating disorders and their impacts.

Job responsibilitiesMain Purpose of this role
To provide administrative, organisational, and delivery support to the Trainer in designing, coordinating, and facilitating training sessions and awareness-raising activities related to eating disorders. The role ensures effective communication with stakeholders, high-quality training materials, efficient course administration, and accessible, inclusive learning experiences.
Day to day duties will include
Training Support and Delivery
Work closely with the Training and Education Coordinator to prepare materials for online and face to face training sessions.
Support the delivery of training components i.e. introductions, housekeeping, facilitation of breakout discussions, deliver pre-prepared sections of SYEDA training courses.
Help to coordinate and schedule training sessions including bookings, technology set up, communication with attendees, securing rooms (where required).
Hold training needs calls with stakeholders to understand key learning areas and to discuss these with the Training and Education Coordinator.
Support the Training and Education coordinator to raise awareness of eating disorders at events, conferences, and community-based activities.
Assist with producing and uploading content for online learning modules in collaboration with the Training and Education Coordinator and the Clinical team.
Supply training related content and updates to SYEDA's Campaigns and Engagement Coordinator for dissemination on social media channels.
Research new training content areas, aid in the preparation of learning outcomes, promotional materials, and contribute to the continual development of SYEDA's Training and Education Strategic Plan.
Proactively build relationships with local organisations, networks, and stakeholders to expand training reach, identify new opportunities, and grow SYEDA's training partnerships.
Administration and Coordination
Maintain training calendars, mailing lists, records, and databases, ensuring that information is accurate and up to date.
Manage participant registration, attendance data, feedback forms and related correspondence.
Enquire about reasonable adjustment and accessibility needs of participants to ensure sessions can be planned inclusively.
Work with SYEDA's Business Manager to collate, analyse and report data relating to training for commissioners and external funding bodies.
Maintain organised digital folders, training resources, and administrative systems for the training programme.
Ensure compliance with all SYEDA policies and procedures.
General Responsibilities
Attend relevant team meetings, supervision sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Provide occasional administrative cover for SYEDA (answering telephone calls and checking in clients) where required to cover staff absence.
Work flexibly, recognising that occasional evening or weekend work, and travel across South Yorkshire may be required.
Support other SYEDA activities as capacity and organisational need allows.
Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the Training and Education Coordinator, or SYEDA's Management Team.

- Experience in an administrative role

- Experience in delivering presentations or group based sessionsExperience working in sensitive or confidential environments
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Basic IT qualifications, or evidence of relevant competence.
- Qualification in training and/or development, or similar.
