This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and ambitious financial planning practice in Cheltenham, working alongside experienced Advisers, Paraplanners and Administrators to deliver outstanding outcomes for clients.
The Opportunity
You'll play a key role in supporting Financial Planners with research, analysis and report writing across a broad range of financial planning areas, including pensions, investments, protection and retirement planning.
Unlike many paraplanning roles, you'll be involved throughout the entire advice process, giving you greater exposure to client strategies and technical financial planning.
For ambitious individuals, there is a genuine long-term progression pathway, including the opportunity to develop towards a Financial Adviser role.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct technical research and analyse client circumstances
- Prepare suitability reports and recommendation documentation
- Assist with pension, investment, protection and retirement planning cases
- Produce cashflow modelling and planning analysis
- Support advisers in preparing for client meetings
- Liaise with providers and third parties
- Maintain accurate client records and systems
- Assist with technical queries and case progression
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and client outcomes
- Ensure advice files meet compliance and regulatory standards
About You
We are open to speaking with candidates across a range of experience levels, including:
Junior Paraplanners
- Previous experience within an IFA, wealth management or financial planning environment
- Exposure to report writing, research or adviser support
- Working towards or keen to begin Level 4 qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Experienced & Senior Paraplanners
- Proven paraplanning experience within financial planning or wealth management
- Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments and retirement planning
- Experience producing high-quality suitability reports
- Familiarity with cashflow modelling and research tools
- Ability to manage complex cases and adviser relationships
- Level 4 Diploma qualified or working towards advanced qualifications
