Trainee Lift Engineers vacancy in Birmingham/Hybrid (157jc)

Trainee Lift Engineers (157jc) - Birmingham/Hybrid - starting £30k + Training + Benefits.

My client, established for over 30 years, is seeking to recruit an additional Trainee Engineer to join their expanding team. The role offers opportunities for progression into more senior positions based on your abilities.

The company has various roles including Technician, Repair Engineer, Service Engineer, and Installation Engineer. All these roles require similar basic skills initially, with potential to specialize within the sector.

At entry level, a decent standard of engineering knowledge is required. Electrical experience is advantageous but not essential; however, those with electrical backgrounds may progress faster.

After completing an initial 6 months of training and development, you will specialize in one of the roles mentioned above.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong mechanical background; electrical experience is a plus.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Ability to work towards targets while maintaining high standards.
  • Understanding of current Health & Safety regulations.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and produce high-standard documentation.
  • Self-motivated with good initiative.
  • Flexible, enthusiastic team player.

The company provides comprehensive training and mentoring. Within approximately 6 months, you will be responsible for your own geographic area within the Midlands region.

In return, they offer a starting salary up to £30,000 plus training, with potential to increase to £40k upon completion of training. Overtime and bonuses can raise earnings to over £50k annually. Benefits include a company electric car scheme, private healthcare, 25 days leave plus bank holidays, and a pension scheme (4% employer and 4% employee contributions).
