Job Description
Trading Compliance VP (Rates / FX / EM Focus)

Global Investment Bank London Hybrid (3 days in office)

We are partnering with a leading global investment bank to hire a Vice President within Trading Compliance, supporting a high-performing Sales & Trading franchise. This role sits directly aligned to the trading floor, providing real-time advisory and oversight to desks covering Rates, FX and Emerging Markets.

The Opportunity

This is a front-office aligned compliance advisory role, working closely with traders, sales and structuring teams across core trading products. The platform is performing strongly, offering excellent exposure, visibility, and genuine internal mobility opportunities within a top-tier investment bank.

The team is specifically seeking individuals with deep product expertise-this is not a generalist advisory role. Candidates should come from environments where they have supported active trading desks and can operate credibly in a fast-paced, specialist setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day compliance advisory to trading and sales teams (Rates, FX, EM)
  • Partner closely with the front office on product governance, client activity and risk management
  • Offer guidance on complex transactions, new products and structuring activity
  • Identify and manage conduct and regulatory risks, escalating where appropriate
  • Collaborate with global compliance, risk, and control functions to ensure robust frameworks
  • Contribute to the development of a strong risk culture and control environment
Coverage Area

The business spans:

  • Fixed Income Rates (e.g. sovereign bonds, interest rate derivatives)
  • FX (spot, forwards, swaps, options)
  • Emerging Markets products and solutions

Supporting market-making and client solutions across global institutional clients

Candidate Profile
  • Proven experience in a Compliance Advisory / Business Oversight role within a tier-one investment bank
  • Strong product knowledge in Rates, FX or closely aligned areas (e.g. Credit)
  • Experience working directly with trading desks / on the trading floor
  • Solid understanding of global regulatory frameworks and market conduct risk
  • Ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders in a commercial environment
  • Strong judgement, communication skills, and ability to manage competing priorities
Additional Context
  • The team is open to high-potential AVP-level candidates stepping up to VP
  • Strong preference for specialists over generalists-candidates from smaller institutions with broad coverage are less aligned
  • Hybrid working model (3 days in office) with a strong emphasis on work-life balance
  • High-performing business with clear internal mobility opportunities
