Trade Plan Operations Manager
Welwyn Garden City - 3 days per week onsite (Hybrid)
12-month PAYE Contract | £50,000-£55,000
We are seeking a proactive Trade Plan Operations Manager to join a central Trade Planning team at a leading national retailer. This is a fast-paced, high-impact role with exposure to a broad range of stakeholders, including Director-level. You will play a key role in optimising SOPs and operational processes, coordinating planograms and in-store events, and ensuring smooth delivery across multiple areas of the business.
About the role
On a daily basis, you will:
- Review, document, and optimise standard operating procedures (SOPs) and processes to improve efficiency
- Coordinate in-store events and planograms, working closely with buyers and operational teams
- Apply expertise in space and range merchandising to support operational and strategic planning
- Develop and implement training processes for new starters
- Oversee checkouts and till toppers space management
- Lead floorplan audits, proof of concept projects, and master database creation
- Maintain accurate filing, reporting, and process documentation
- Identify automation and reporting opportunities to improve efficiency
- Collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders, from operational teams up to Directors
- Thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, juggling multiple priorities
What we're looking for
- Retail background essential, with experience in space and range merchandising
- Proven project management experience
- Strong stakeholder management skills, confident engaging at all levels
- Self-starter, able to take a brief and run with it
- Comfortable multitasking and adapting to changing priorities
- Analytical, organised, and detail-oriented, with a focus on process optimisation and reporting
