A leading Patent & Trade Mark Attorney firm is seeking an experienced Paralegal to support two senior fee earners in their Trade Marks team. This is a key role within a well-established practice, offering exposure to high-quality work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

The role offers a high level of responsibility, where you will contribute directly to delivering an excellent client service and play an important part in managing trade mark portfolios.

Key responsibilities
  • Managing all stages of trade mark applications, including processing, checking, and reporting
  • Preparing and filing UK, EU, international, and foreign national trade marks and designs
  • Responding to client queries and supporting the management of large client portfolios
  • Assisting with recordal projects and maintaining accurate records
  • Preparing exhibits for witness statements
  • Drafting responses to official objections and provisional refusals
  • Handling opposition matters, including preparing and filing notices, extensions of time, and related formalities
  • Preparing and filing recordal forms
  • Managing and monitoring multiple diaries to ensure deadlines are met, including:
    • Maintaining key dates and reminders
    • Coordinating meetings and calendars
    • Following up with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Handling correspondence, including post, emails, and reporting letters
  • Identifying urgent matters and escalating where appropriate
  • Supporting billing processes, including preparing cost estimates and responding to account queries
Skills & experience
  • Previous experience as a Paralegal within a Trade Marks team (min. 5 years)
  • Strong working knowledge of UKIPO, EUIPO, and international trade mark procedures
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
