Job Description
Job Title: Trade Effluent Technical Advisor
Location: Crossness Sewage Treatment Works, Abbey Wood, South East London (SE2 9AQ)
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 36 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm). Part time arrangements considered.
Salary: Competitive annual salary between £28,000 and £32,000 per annum
Closing Date: 01/05/2026
Responsibilities- Complete and manage temporary case assessments.
- Prepare legal documentation and monthly internal reports.
- Advise customers and retailers on queries.
- Build relationships with retailers and customers to ensure excellent service.
- Support trade effluent team members with documentation and PPE requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments (Wholesale Market Services, Asset Planning, Operational Process Scientists).
- Experience in customer-facing roles and providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to work within a team environment, meet timescales and targets.
- IT literate with strong MS Office skills.
- High attention to detail, logical and analytical mindset.
- Ability to evaluate, interpret and communicate data from diverse sources.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills for liaising with external parties and stakeholders.
- Water Industry experience.
- Knowledge of Thames Water systems: TERMIS, Salesforce, SAP supply chain.
- Financial experience in revenue generation.
- Regulatory experience.
- Valid UK driver's licence and access to a car for travel to the remote site.
- Competitive annual salary between £28,000 and £32,000 per annum.
