Job Title: Town Planner

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading planning consultancy with the appointment of a Planner to join their growing team in Kent.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Planner with 1+ years' experience who is looking to develop their career, gain greater responsibility and work towards Senior Planner level.

The successful candidate will ideally hold an RTPI-accredited Masters and have a solid grounding in the UK planning system. The business is keen to invest in the right individual, providing exposure to a varied project portfolio and the support needed to progress towards Senior level.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting projects from inception through to planning application and decision, gaining increasing responsibility as your experience develops.
  Working alongside senior planners on medium and large-scale projects.
  Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications, appeals and supporting documents.
  Undertaking planning research, policy reviews and site appraisals.
  Liaising with local planning authorities and statutory consultees.
  Attending client meetings, site visits and project meetings alongside senior colleagues.
  Developing your understanding of planning strategy and providing support on client advice.
