We're working with a highly respected planning and development consultancy to recruit a talented Town Planner to join its growing Sheffield team. As a Town Planner, you'll play a key role in delivering planning advice across a wide range of residential, commercial, mixed-use, regeneration, and strategic development projects. You'll work closely with experienced planning professionals, developers, landowners, and multidisciplinary teams to help shape successful developments from inception through to delivery.

The business has built a strong reputation for providing commercially focused planning advice and prides itself on delivering high-quality outcomes for clients across both the public and private sectors.

The Role

As the successful Town Planner, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and managing planning applications and appeals.
  • Producing planning appraisals, reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Providing planning advice to clients throughout the development process.
  • Liaising with local planning authorities, consultees, and key stakeholders.
  • Supporting project delivery across a varied and exciting portfolio.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
About You

We're keen to hear from candidates who have:

  • A degree in Town Planning or a related RTPI accredited discipline.
  • MRTPI membership or progress towards chartership.
  • Previous experience within a planning consultancy, local authority, or developer environment.
  • Strong report writing and organisational abilities.
  • A proactive approach with the confidence to manage multiple projects.
