In this role, you'll get involved in a wide variety of planning work, including:

  • Preparing planning appraisals for sites, buildings and development concepts.
  • Carrying out research and analysis to support planning submissions.
  • Drafting pre application enquiries, planning applications and appeal documentation.
  • Contributing to Design & Access Statements, sustainability reports and other supporting material.
  • Working closely with planning officers, consultees and third parties to negotiate positive outcomes.
  • Building strong relationships with clients and other professionals.
  • Presenting at meetings such as Parish Council and Planning Committee sessions.
  • Preparing fee proposals and contributing to business development.
  • Developing creative and commercially sensible planning solutions.
  • Producing detailed reports with clear recommendations based on your findings.
  • Managing projects from early concept through to completion.
  • Keeping up to date with planning legislation, policy updates and market trends.
What They're Looking For

  • A solid understanding of the UK planning system.
  • Technical competence and good local knowledge.
  • The ability to travel as needed.
  • Experience in either the private or public sector (2+ years preferred).
What's on Offer

The company provides a genuinely supportive environment along with a strong benefits package, including:

  • 25 days holiday, increasing to 28 after 3 years.
  • Life assurance (4x salary).
  • Salary sacrifice pension scheme.
  • Enhanced maternity, paternity, adoption and shared parental leave.
  • Holiday buy back option.
  • Long service awards.
