The Role

As the Toddler Room Leader, you will lead a dedicated team caring for and educating children aged approximately 2 to 3 years. You will be responsible for creating an inspiring environment where children can explore, learn, and thrive through meaningful play and carefully planned learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of Early Years Practitioners
• Deliver high-quality learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework
• Plan engaging activities that support communication, language, social, emotional, and physical development
• Create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment
• Monitor children's progress and maintain accurate learning records
• Develop strong partnerships with parents and carers
• Ensure safeguarding and welfare standards are consistently met
• Support children's independence, curiosity, creativity, and confidence
• Maintain exceptional standards of care, teaching, and learning throughout the toddler room

Person SpecificationEssential Requirements

• Level 3 Early Years Qualification (or equivalent UK-recognised qualification)
• Previous experience as a Toddler Room Leader, Room Leader, Senior Nursery Practitioner, or similar leadership role
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Experience leading, mentoring, and developing nursery staff
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Passion for delivering exceptional early years education and childcare
• Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
• Ability to relocate to Cyprus for the duration of the contract

Desirable

• Experience working within a British nursery, international school, or overseas setting
• Paediatric First Aid qualification
• Experience supporting children with additional needs
• Knowledge of curiosity-led or child-centred learning approaches
