BAM UK & I are looking for a Time and Attendance Subject Matter Expert to join us on a 12 month FTC contract.
Your missionWe are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Time and Attendance Subject Matter Expert to support the implementation of a new payroll solution at BAM UK & Ireland. This client-side role will play a critical part in ensuring that existing and new time and attendance processes integrated, and tested effectively as part of the broader payroll transformation programme.
Key Responsibilities
• Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for Time and Attendance processes, advising on leading practice and optimised end-to-end design.
• Support the definition and documentation of time capture, approvals, and exception handling processes across BAM UK&I.
• Engage closely with the Payroll, Finance, and existing Time and Attendance teams to ensure consistent and accurate input into the new payroll solution.
• Collaborate with the system integrator and internal stakeholders to design, validate, and test Time and Attendance integrations with the payroll system.
• Contribute to the Data Migration strategy, ensuring time and attendance data is accurately cleansed, mapped, and transferred.
• Lead and support testing activities (e.g. SIT, UAT, Parallel Payroll Testing), ensuring time-related processes and data flow correctly into payroll calculations.
• Act as a key liaison between the payroll project team and time and attendance operations teams, ensuring alignment on process, scope, and system functionality.
• Provide expert input into issue resolution, change requests, and risk mitigation related to time and attendance.
• Ensure all time-related solutions support compliance, accuracy, and business efficiency.
• Support change management, training, and communications related to time and attendance.
Required Skills and Experience
• Strong expertise in Time and Attendance processes and best practice, ideally gained in large or complex organisations.
• Proven experience supporting payroll or HRIS transformation programmes with a time and attendance component.
• Experience in Workforce Software or similar enterprise-level Time and Attendance solutions is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of integration design, particularly between Time and Attendance and Payroll platforms.
• Excellent data analysis, data migration, and validation skills.
• Ability to interpret and challenge technical designs and propose business-aligned solutions.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with good documentation, organisational, and communication capabilities.
