Job overview

This is a one-year fixed-term leadership role within our therapy team, offering opportunities to develop leadership, management, and clinical skills. You will be part of the Therapy Leadership team for inpatient services across Poole, Bournemouth, and Christchurch Hospitals, with opportunities for regional collaboration within Dorset and the South West.

Base Location: Poole Hospital & Bournemouth Hospital

Main duties of the job
  • Provide operational leadership to inpatient clinical teams within UHD.
  • Support operational planning, workforce management, recruitment, performance, quality, and governance.

  • Manage clinical leads and participate in service improvement and transformation initiatives.
  • Oversee financial management, performance, and quality of services.
  • Maintain strong communication with multidisciplinary teams and the wider organisation regarding inpatient therapy services.
Person specification Qualifications and experience
  • Degree in OT or PT
  • HCPC registration
  • Postgraduate MSc qualification
