The Vacancy The RoleThis is a new role within the Application Development & Release team reporting into the Testing Manager. The main purpose of the role is to be responsible for test planning, execution, coordination, and reporting of FSCS information systems and software applications to ensure the delivery of high-quality business applications following industry best practice.
The Test Lead will work closely with our suppliers and partners delivering solutions to meet business needs and requires strong communication, planning, and coordination skills.
Key Priorities- Work with business resources and lead creation of UAT test scenarios/scripts and execution.
- Support continuous improvement of the testing framework based on industry standards, process and product KPI's, QA reports, functional and non-functional frameworks and tools, embracing agile ways of working.
- Identify and document Risks, Issues, Assumptions, and Dependencies in the test phase.
- Pass the FSCS information security induction training annually.
- Adhere to FSCS policies including Information Security, Data Protection, acceptable use, and relevant supporting documents.
- Manage Data Handling securely and in accordance with its classification.
- Experience with test management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, HP ALM, Jira).
- Experience with Selenium, Specflow, Nunit, Extent-Reporting, Page Object Model.
- Knowledge of risk management, defect management, task planning, and performance measurement.
- ETL testing experience (desirable).
- Test leadership and execution in an Agile (SCRUM) environment.
- Experience with XML and service-oriented protocols (desirable).
- Excellent analytical skills and experience testing web-based applications, including mobile and database testing.
- Ability to analyze complex requirements and create corresponding test cases.
- Willingness to document all tasks and projects thoroughly.
- Experience writing detailed, structured test scripts using best practices.
- Understanding of testing methodologies and defect analysis.
- Experience testing across platforms such as CRM systems (e.g., Siebel/Dynamics 365), Enterprise Document Management Systems (e.g., OpenText), Web Portals, and Data Integration (desirable).
