Test Technician - Electro-Mechanical
Location: Enfield, North London
Hours: Monday to Friday - Core office HoursSalary: £35,000

Outsource UK is recruiting for a skilled Test Technician to join a leading defence company in Enfield. This role will focus on the comprehensive testing of complex electro-mechanical products used within marine radar navigation systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive testing (including RF), fault finding, rework, and assembly of electro-mechanical equipment to the highest quality standards.
• Work from detailed procedures, drawings, documents, change notes, schematics, oral and written instructions.
• Perform a wide range of rework and assembly tasks including soldering, wiring, crimping, drilling, filing, cutting, PCB rework, and application of adhesives.
• Check and inspect own work and the work of others, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
• Support the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and test documentation.
• Raise defect reports and maintain accurate data entry within business systems.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment.
• Support the operations team with additional tasks as required.

Requirements

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Proven experience in RF testing, fault finding, rework, and assembly within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Confident using Microsoft Word and Excel.
• At least 2 years' experience in a similar environment.
• Experience in cellular manufacturing and/or radar technology would be advantageous.
