DevOps Test Engineer - 5G Core

Location: Rotterdam

The Test Engineer will write and execute test cases in the 5G core and trouble-shoot issues with the vendor.

What the Test Engineer will do:

Write detailed test-cases: the Test Object List is prepared and the basis for detailed test-cases that are properly documented

Execute test-cases and report on them. Testing is done using shielded boxes (with devices, E2E), with Landslide, and with dedicated test-automation tooling.

The Engineer will trouble-shoot failed test-cases and work with the team and customer vendor on a solution.

In some cases exploratory testing will be needed to optimize configuration parameters in the End 2 end set-up at customer test location.

Knowledge and skills:

Domain knowledge of Mobile Core technologies, especially EPC and 5GC 3GPP architecture

Experience as Test Engineer, with test approaches and processes, test and tracing equipment

Focus on Quality, determined to find any issues and errors inn our new 5G Core

Hands-on experience with Ericsson mobile core, especially PCC and PCG.

Able to cope with stress and time pressure to meet certain deadlines

Good communication skills. Well able to raise issues to the test-manager and their vendor and follow-up on them.
