Responsibilities

• As a Test Automation Engineer for Embedded Systems, you will be part of an multidisciplinary team supporting the development and validation of new vehicle functions. Your tasks include:
• Developing and maintaining test automation tools across multiple interfaces
• Designing and implementing automated test cases (Robot Framework, Python)
• Specifying and executing test cases for display functions
• Supporting process definition and tooling for test automation and traceability
• Executing automated and manual tests, analyzing results, and reporting defects
• Collaborating closely with development teams (e.g., defect resolution, code reviews)
• Refining user stories, sprint planning, task decomposition, and estimation
• Supporting implementation of specified user stories and features

Skills Must have

• Python software development
• Test automation frameworks (e.g., Robot Framework, Pytest)
• Strong understanding of software requirements and test design techniques
• Experience with test environment setup
• Version control (Git: branching, merging, pull requests)
• Clean, maintainable, well documented coding style
• Debugging and troubleshooting expertise
• Familiarity with Agile development methods and cross functional collaboration

Nice to have

• Automotive industry experience
• HIL testing
• CANoe tool experience
• Knowledge of CAN, Ethernet, UDS protocols
• CAPL scripting
• Robot Framework / code analysis skills
• VW Group ecosystem experience
