Job Description
Job Title: Test Assurance Team Lead

Location: London or Manchester based - hybrid working model (2 days office, 3 days remote)

Contract: 6 months inside IR35, competitive day rate

About the Role

We are offering a fantastic opportunity to secure an initial 6-month contract as a Test Assurance Team Lead. In this role, you will lead DCC's engagement with programmes, projects, and service providers on testing matters. You will oversee testing across DCC services and support user testing against these systems. The role is based in Manchester or London with a hybrid working model.

Responsibilities
  1. Act as the primary contact with Programme and Delivery Directors regarding Test Assurance activities, including System Testing, BAT, and OAT.
  2. Develop the Test Approach and determine resource requirements in collaboration with the Head of Test Assurance and Test Assurance Services Manager.
  3. Direct the activities of Test Assurance Resources for specific projects or programmes.
  4. Serve as the main liaison with DCC's Service Providers on testing matters.
  5. Coordinate detailed testing, evidence collection, and reporting with Service Providers.
  6. Ensure test completion by witnessing tests and inspecting results.
Candidate Requirements
  • Strong experience as a Test Team Lead or Test Manager in an assurance-focused role.
  • Extensive relevant testing experience, preferably ISQTB certified.
  • Deep understanding of testing standards and processes, especially in relation to service providers.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in the Smart Metering industry, specifically with SMETS1.
