Job Description

JOB TITLE: Temporary to Permanent Senior Administrator


LOCATION: Taunton


HOURLY RATE: £13.50 - £15.00 per hour (DOE)


HOURS: Monday to Friday (Core hours 9am - 5pm, hours may be flexible for the right candidate

We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Senior Administrator to join a close-knit and long-standing team working or a well-established construction company based in Taunton. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative experience and a solid understanding of basic accounting functions. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a varied role and is looking for a temporary to permanent position starting immediately.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage email inboxes and handle incoming calls with professionalism
Perform accurate data entry and maintain up-to-date records
Assist with clerical duties including filing, photocopying, and document organisation
Support project estimates, tenders, and pre-qualification questionnaires
Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and employee documentation
Ensure compliance with insurance and vehicle fleet requirements
Maintain training records and support HSE compliance
Prepare reports, presentations, and meeting documents
Process invoices, manage ledgers, and reconcile accounts
Maintain financial records using accounting software
Communicate with suppliers and clients to resolve queries
Support audits and ad-hoc finance tasks


KEY SKILLS:
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly organised with strong multitasking abilities
Professional, team-oriented, and commercially aware
Proficient in accounting software and Excel
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Positive, resilient, and motivated attitude
