Roles & Responsibilities- Undertake stock condition and component lifecycle surveys across the housing portfolio
- Accurately record findings using mobile surveying systems
- Assess condition, age and remaining life of building components to inform planned maintenance
- Inform capital programmes and asset management strategies
- Produce detailed survey reports, schedules of works and cost estimates
- Support investment planning and compliance programmes
- Identify defects, health and safety risks and non-compliance issues
- Recommend remedial actions in line with current housing standards and legislation
- Liaise with internal teams, contractors and residents to arrange access and explain findings
- Good attention to detail to ensure accurate tagging
- Ability to avoid errors in registers
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to conduct surveys across multiple buildings efficiently
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with other departmental teams
- Good problem-solving ability to handle unexpected access issues
- Ability to identify untagged or missing assets
- Knowledge of health and safety while working around plant rooms and electrical equipment
- Awareness of hazardous areas
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm
- Salary: up to c£15 per hour
- Location: Newham, London
- Job Type: Temporary ongoing for approx. 8 months (high potential to extend)
