Location: Harlow Area

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 2:00pm

Pay Rate: Up to £18.00 per hour

Contract: Temporary

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Temporary School Chef to work within a friendly school catering team in the Harlow area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and passionate chef seeking daytime hours with a great work-life balance.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing and cooking nutritious meals for students and staff
• Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene
• Managing food stock and ensuring minimal waste
• Complying with all food safety and health & safety regulations
• Keeping the kitchen clean, organised, and inspection-ready
• Working efficiently as part of a catering team

Requirements:

• Previous chef experience within schools, education, or large-volume catering preferred
• Valid Enhanced DBS certificate is essential
• Food Hygiene Certificate
• Ability to work independently and manage a busy service
• Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
• Car drivers preferred due to varying locations and transport links
