Temporary Accountant (Personal Tax)

Location: City of London
Contract: Temporary - November to end of January, with a
potentially earlier start
Working arrangements: Initially office-based, with hybrid
flexibility once settled in
Rate: Dependent on experience

GPN Recruitment is partnering with a growing London City-based
accountancy firm to recruit a Temporary Personal Tax Senior for
the upcoming personal tax busy season.

The firm takes a relationship-led approach, working closely with
clients to support their businesses. Joining a diverse team
during a period of growth, you will provide experienced support
in reviewing personal tax returns and managing client queries.

The role:

Review personal tax returns prepared by the firm's outsourced
accounting team.
Support a portfolio of approximately 80-150 clients, with
generally straightforward tax affairs.
Liaise directly with clients to obtain outstanding information
and resolve queries.
Identify any corrections required and coordinate these ahead of
submission.
Help keep work on track to meet the January filing deadline.
Use TaxCalc and report to the Practice Manager or incoming Head
of UK.

About you:

Strong personal tax experience gained within an accountancy
practice.
Confident reviewing personal tax returns and identifying
issues.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable liaising directly with clients and taking ownership
of queries.
Organised, dependable and able to work independently.
