In this consultative role, you'll speak with business owners across the North East, understand their goals, and recommend tailored strategies from our digital and print portfolio. Every call is an opportunity to build relationships and make a real difference.

Whether you bring experience or fresh enthusiasm, we'll provide the tools and training to help you succeed. You'll need to be within commuting distance and available Monday to Friday during office hours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and win new business by proactively reaching out to potential clients across your region using cold calling and outbound sales techniques.
  • Work to clear financial targets and KPIs, consistently striving to exceed monthly revenue goals and performance benchmarks
  • Manage and grow existing client accounts, providing ongoing support, identifying upsell opportunities, and increasing client spend through strategic recommendations
  • Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, using a consultative approach to move prospects through the sales cycle
  • Build long-term relationships with clients by providing expert advice, excellent service, and ongoing support
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and campaign delivery for new clients
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and LOCALiQ's evolving product suite to maintain a competitive edge
  • Represent LOCALiQ with professionalism and credibility, acting as a trusted ambassador for our regional news brands
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Strong communication and influencing skills - You're confident speaking with business owners and decision-makers, able to build rapport quickly and guide conversations toward meaningful outcomes.
  • Experience in outbound calling - You're comfortable picking up the phone, starting conversations, and creating opportunities through proactive outreach.
  • Confident in securing new business over the phone - You know how to ask the right questions, handle objections, and close deals with professionalism and energy.
  • Able to grow and nurture existing client accounts - You understand the value of long term relationships and can spot opportunities to add value and increase client spend.
  • Delivers exceptional customer service - You're committed to providing a seamless, supportive experience for every client, every time.
  • A consultative, client focused approach to selling - You listen, learn, and tailor your recommendations to meet each client's unique goals.
  • Proven B2B sales experience (advantageous) - If you've sold to businesses before, great, but we also welcome candidates with limited sales exposure who bring a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a genuine drive to succeed.
  • Understanding of multimedia advertising (advantageous) - Familiarity with digital and print advertising is a plus, but not essential-we'll provide training to get you up to speed.
