Job Purpose:

To deliver profitable growth within the farming sector by regularly calling and developing relationships with farmers.

The role is accountable for purchasing combinable crops (grain, oilseeds and pulses) in line with commercial strategy, while promoting sales of seed and fertiliser that strengthen long-term customer partnerships.

This is a Telesales position suited to a self-motivated, target driven individual, who thrives on achieving targets.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Achieve all agreed targets.
  • Execute a structured outbound call programme to generate new business and develop existing accounts
  • Purchase combinable crops from farmers within agreed terms
  • Identify and convert cross-selling opportunities across seed and fertiliser products
  • Support all trading campaigns in collaboration with the commercial and trading teams
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management and contract documentation
  • Be aware of market movements and communicate relevant intelligence to customers
  • Ensure all activities align with company compliance, governance and risk frameworks

Performance Measures

  • Success in this role will be measured by:
  • Achievement of revenue and gross margin targets
  • Volume of grain secured by way of contribution to the business
  • Customer retention and account base growth
  • Conversion rates and call productivity metrics
  • Accuracy of forecasting and CRM management
  • Contribution to overall team and business performance

Environmental

  • To operate and conduct our business in an environmentally sensitive and sustainable way.
  • To undertake daily tasks in line with requirements of the Company's Environmental Management System (EMS).
  • Seek and provide ideas to improve company performance in accordance with the EMS.

Knowledge, experience & capabilities

Knowledge & Experience

  • Outgoing personality with experience in developing customer relationships
  • Telesales experience an advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
