Job Overview: We are recruiting experienced FLT / Telehandler Yard Operatives to join a busy waste and recycling facility in Tondu. This multi-skilled, hands on yard role involves FLT operation, telehandler work, and general materials handling across a fast paced site environment.
Key Responsibilities: Operating FLT trucks safely and efficiently; Unloading stillages from incoming vehicles; Using clamp attachments to load bales onto articulated vehicles; Moving and organising stock around the site; Operating telehandlers to manage bulk materials and stacks; Feeding and operating baler machinery (where trained); Maintaining clean and safe working areas; Supporting general yard and site operations; Working in line with strict health & safety procedures
Requirements: Valid FLT Counterbalance licence (essential); Telehandler licence (essential); Experience in recycling, waste, or industrial yard environments preferred; Ability to work in a fast paced, physically demanding environment; Strong awareness of health & safety; Reliable, flexible, and team oriented attitude; Clamp experience advantageous
Bonus & Benefits: £14.24 per hour; 150% overtime pay; Weekly performance bonus; Additional pay increases for multi skilled operators (FLT / Telehandler / Baler trained); Long term opportunities available
About the Role: This is a varied and active yard based position where no two days are the same. You will be part of a busy operational team responsible for handling, processing, and moving recyclable materials efficiently and safely.
