Job Description
Intec Select are delighted to partner with GREENPEACE UK to support the growth of their Technology function with the appointment of a Technology Business Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst with a strong technical background to join a purpose-driven organisation and play a key role in improving the systems, platforms and processes that enable Greenpeace UK's vital work.

Please see full details below for the position and how to apply:
  • Salary: Grade 3 (£45,000 - £55,000 per annum)
  • Contract: Full-time
  • Based: Islington, London - Hybrid working (2/3 days per week in office)
The hybrid working approach brings together the benefits of office-based collaboration and remote flexibility. For this role, you'll be expected to work from the Islington office at least 2 days per week.

Greenpeace UK is an independent national organisation within the global Greenpeace campaigning network, working to change attitudes and behaviours, protect the environment and promote peace. The organisation uses technology to support campaigning, fundraising, supporter engagement and internal operations - ensuring teams have the tools and data they need to maximise their impact.

We're looking for a Technology Business Analyst who can bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. Someone who enjoys understanding complex challenges, improving processes, configuring platforms and helping teams get the most value from their technology ecosystem.

You'll work across a diverse portfolio of internal platforms, including HR, Finance, Operations, Fundraising and Digital Engagement systems, partnering with stakeholders to translate organisational challenges into clear technical requirements and deliver effective, user-focused solutions.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead discovery activities, user research and requirements gathering to understand business challenges and define technical specifications
  • Map current and future-state processes, identifying opportunities for optimisation and improved workflows
  • Create user stories, technical documentation, process maps and functional specifications for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Design, coordinate and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business needs
  • Support platform configuration including workflows, permissions and system improvements across SaaS applications
  • Develop user guides, training materials and support adoption of new technology solutions
  • Work closely with vendors and external partners to manage issues, integrations and enhancements
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, refinement, reviews and retrospectives
  • Support governance, GDPR compliance, data protection and responsible AI adoption across technology solutions
About you:
You'll be an analytical and collaborative Business Analyst who enjoys working at the intersection of people, processes and technology. You'll be comfortable engaging with stakeholders across different departments, translating operational challenges into practical technical solutions and supporting teams through change.

You'll bring experience working with SaaS platforms, business process improvement, system configuration and Agile delivery environments, alongside strong communication skills and the ability to create clear documentation that enables others to succeed.

Essential criteria for success:
  • Proven experience in business analysis, including requirements gathering, discovery, process mapping and translating user needs into technical requirements
  • Hands-on experience working with and configuring SaaS platforms, including workflows, permissions and system settings
  • Experience analysing business processes across areas such as fundraising, engagement, HR, finance or support platforms
  • Experience planning and delivering UAT, creating documentation and supporting user adoption
  • Experience working within Agile teams and contributing to backlog management and delivery processes
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively between technical and non-technical teams
  • Experience collaborating with software vendors and external support partners
  • Understanding of GDPR, privacy-first design principles and responsible technology use
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
Desirable experience:
  • Experience within the nonprofit, campaigning or fundraising sector
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Salesforce, Pardot, Asana, Google Workspace, Gemini, Slack, iRaiser, Cezanne, Elium, Zendesk, Vonage or SurveyMonkey
  • Understanding of APIs, integrations and data warehouse environments
  • Relevant Business Analysis or Agile certifications
Benefits:
  • Hybrid working (2 days in office)
  • Excellent learning and development opportunities
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with additional leave accrued through service
  • Christmas/New Year office closure
  • Annual cost of living increase
  • 8.5% employer pension contribution (3% employee contribution)
  • Interest-free season ticket loan
  • Life assurance scheme up to 4 times annual salary
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • Employee assistance programme
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Subsidised food
  • Free yoga classes
If you're passionate about technology, process improvement and using your skills to support meaningful environmental change, we'd love to hear from you.
