For an innovative company we are currently looking for a Technical Specialist to join their team in Leiden. The main focus of this role is to support the European Equipment Helpdesk, offering technical assistance to field and technical sales representatives across Europe and Africa.
What You Will Do:
- Act as the first point of contact for troubleshooting issues related to automated monitoring and control equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve problems with specialized industrial technology.
- Provide real-time phone support to field representatives regarding standard equipment and e-catalog products, using technical documentation, product specifications, and pricing tools.
- Provide information about equipment pricing, warranties, and spare parts through the SAP system.
- Track support calls and email tickets via a ticketing system.
- Offer technical input to product marketing, R&D, and commercialization teams within your technology area.
- Contribute to the achievement of team goals and performance metrics.
Required Qualifications:
- Fluency in German or French (preferred), with good English communication skills.
- Strong verbal communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proven customer service skills and a professional, solution-oriented approach.
- Preferably 2-5 years of technical work experience.
- A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field is preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting automated systems, especially with (cellular) network connectivity.
- Hands-on experience with electrical or mechanical systems.
- Basic knowledge of PLC systems.
- Ability to interpret and analyze technical data.

Conditions:
- Starting salary from €3700, with loads of potential to increase depending on experience
