Technical Services Trainer

Location: Warwick, UK

Role Overview

We are seeking a Technical Services Trainer to deliver high-quality technical training to customers, technicians, and internal teams. Reporting to the Technical Training Lead, you will play a key role in delivering engaging training programmes, maintaining training content, and supporting the ongoing development of the Delphi Academy curriculum.

This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strong training delivery skills and offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge automotive technologies.

Key ResponsibilitiesTraining Delivery
  • Deliver engaging technical training across areas such as diagnostics, EV/hybrid systems, ADAS, emissions, electronics, and chassis technologies
  • Simplify complex technical concepts into practical, easy-to-understand training
  • Adapt training style to suit different audience levels
  • Maintain accurate training and attendance records
Curriculum Development
  • Develop and update training materials, presentations, and course content
  • Ensure content aligns with current industry standards, legislation, and product updates
  • Use feedback to continuously improve training programmes
  • Support development of new courses aligned with emerging technologies
Customer Engagement
  • Act as a technical ambassador, delivering a high-quality learning experience
  • Support learners before, during, and after training
  • Participate in demonstrations, open days, and industry events
  • Build relationships with customers, distributors, and partners
Operations & Planning
  • Support the planning and scheduling of training sessions
  • Ensure all equipment, tools, and workshop facilities are prepared and maintained
  • Identify and resolve technical or equipment issues
  • Contribute to improving training operations and delivery
Collaboration & Development
  • Work closely with technical teams to ensure consistent messaging
  • Support product launches with training input
  • Stay up to date with new automotive technologies and industry trends
  • Contribute to internal training and cross-functional projects
RequirementsEssential
  • Proven experience delivering technical training within the automotive sector
  • Strong knowledge of modern vehicle systems, diagnostics, and emerging technologies (EV, hybrid, ADAS)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience developing training materials (classroom and/or e-learning)
  • Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools and automotive equipment
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • High level of IT literacy, including familiarity with e-learning platforms
  • Ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders
Desirable
  • Experience within the automotive aftermarket
  • Experience working in a global or matrix organisation
