Technical Trainer

Job Overview

GE Vernova is looking for an exceptional Technical Trainer to join our Field Services team based in the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality technical training to wind technicians at the Nigg site and support training operations near the Port of Tyne.
• Run classroom sessions, provide theoretical instruction, and lead practical, hands on training.
• Guide learners through technical documentation to develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence required for safe and effective field operations.
• Lead hands on training within the nacelle environment, providing real world context and building technician confidence in critical tasks.
• Collaborate closely with the GE Vernova training team to ensure full training coverage and provide flexible support at the Port of Tyne as needed.
• Contribute to remote training delivery, maintaining consistency and engagement across both in person and virtual learning formats.
• Uphold training quality by maintaining accurate documentation, assessments, and records while ensuring all materials meet GEV standards.
• Foster strong participant engagement through clear instruction, practical demonstrations, and supportive coaching.
• Help sustain a dynamic, safety focused training environment that supports the development of a skilled workforce for major offshore wind projects.

Qualifications

• Technically skilled and adaptable trainer with strong wind industry experience.
• Excellent communication abilities and the capability to deliver both theoretical and hands on training in a dynamic, fast changing environment.
• Solid technical background as an electrician or electrical engineer with essential experience in the wind industry.
• Demonstrated teaching aptitude, patience, and a learner focused approach.
• Highly motivated, flexible, and comfortable adapting to changing schedules or training needs on short notice.
• Technically curious and proactive in self study to ensure accurate, high quality delivery of training content.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English.
