Freelance Technical Team Lead - Distributed Systems / Infra

Remote-first (NL based preferred) €95-100/hr Start: ASAP

I'm looking for a freelance Technical Team Lead to support a high-performing engineering team working on a real-time, high-throughput platform.

This isn't a coding role, you'll provide system-level guidance, technical leadership, and architectural clarity to help scale a complex, low-latency environment handling millions of time-sensitive transactions.

You'll Bring:

• Experience leading engineering teams in distributed or infrastructure-heavy environments
• Strong grasp of system design, data architecture, and cloud-native tooling
• Familiarity with real-time data flow, messaging systems (e.g. Kafka, MQTT), and backend/cloud infrastructure
• Backgrounds in telecoms, energy platforms, or high-load systems are a big plus

• Rate: €95-100/hr
• Start: Immediately
• Process: 2 stages, system design focused (no live coding)
