Technical Stores Person (Heavy Industrial Engineering)

Scunthorpe - 3 Month Contract

£250 p/d - £325 p/d (Inside IR35)

Are you a Technical Stores Person or Maintenance Planner from a heavy industrial background looking for a 3-month contract within the renewable energy sector?

With multiple sites across the UK, this organisation is a recognised market leader in generating renewable energy through Anaerobic Digestion. Due to continued growth and investment, they are looking to expand their engineering support team to help maintain operational efficiency across their facilities.

In this role, you will take responsibility for organising and managing the engineering stores. This will involve monitoring inventory levels, assessing the reliability and availability of parts, managing costings, and carrying out risk analysis. You will work closely with the Head of Engineering to ensure critical components are available to support ongoing plant operations.

This position would suit someone with previous experience working within an engineering stores environment, warehouse, or parts department within a heavy industrial setting. Experience within the water or utilities sector would be advantageous but is not essential. Strong organisational skills, reliability, and previous experience using a CRM or inventory management system will also be beneficial. While you will be the primary person responsible for this specific stores department, support and training on the CRM system will be provided by a more experienced member of the team.

The Role:
  • Technical Stores Person - Heavy Industrial Engineering
  • Monitoring and managing current inventory levels
  • Forecasting requirements and ordering parts to maintain optimal stock levels
  • Liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • 3 Month Contract - Inside IR35
The Person:
  • Background within heavy industrial engineering
  • Previous experience in an engineering stores, parts warehouse, or depot environment
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Computer literate (CRM or inventory system experience advantageous)
  • Full UK driving licence

We are an equal opportunities company and welcome applications from all suitable candidates.
