HVAC Industry

Location:Crawley
Reporting To: Managing Director
Salary: £45,000
Company:A leading HVAC Distributor who are aprominent player in the HVAC sector are seeking a Technical Sales Manager to provide expert support across nationwide branches and sales operations. This role is essential to ensuring technical excellence in customer solutions, product selection, pricing support, and post-sales service.
You'll play a crucial role in driving product knowledge across the business, coaching sales and operational teams, and serving as the go-to expert for all HVAC technical matters. Working closely with senior leadership, your input will directly influence commercial strategy and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Product Expertise

  • Act as the primary technical resource for our sales and branch management teams
  • Deliver structured and ad hoc product training to internal teams
  • Support strategic decision-making around product development and innovation
  • Stay current with market and product trends to assess opportunities and risks
  • Respond to complex technical queries from customers and colleagues
  • Assist with pricing and quoting when technical input is required

Aftersales Excellence

  • Ensure exceptional post-sales customer experience through technical support and follow-up
  • Manage escalated technical queries to resolution
  • Maintain accurate records of aftersales activity and customer feedback
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with clients and partners

What We're Looking For
Essential Experience & Skills

  • Deep product knowledge in HVAC systems, including control systems and wiring
  • Experience mentoring or training team members
  • Background in commercial operations within wholesale, supply chain, or logistics
  • Commercially aware with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Effective at managing multiple priorities under pressure
  • Strong IT literacy and numeracy skills
  • Full UK driving licence required

Desirable Attributes

  • Degree-level education
  • Experience designing and delivering technical training in a commercial environment

You'll Work With
Internally: Sales, branch teams, operations, distribution, finance, and senior management across the wider group
Externally: Suppliers, consultants, industry bodies, and service providers
