Job Summary

From designing high-tech superyachts (70-130m) for prestigious Dutch shipyards to modernizing naval frigates and driving sustainability in offshore fleets - this is your opportunity to lead innovation in maritime engineering. As a Technical Project Manager, you'll guide international engineering teams, influence strategic decisions, and help shape the future of maritime technology.


The role requires availability to travel to shipyards. Company car is provided.


Relocation package is available for candidates currently residing elsewhere in the EU (i.e. outside of the Netherlands). All applicants must hold the current right to work in the Netehrlands.


Responsibilities of the Role


  • Lead and manage a multidisciplinary engineering team across international projects.
  • Take ownership of the technical scope within projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations and project milestones.
  • Develop and monitor engineering planning, resource allocation, and deliverables.
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for clients and internal teams throughout project execution.
  • Coordinate with regulatory bodies, suppliers, and internal departments (procurement, work prep).
  • Regularly visit project sites and maintain daily communication with client technical teams.
  • Support the installation phase by working closely with the Production Supervisor.
  • Evaluate and propose solutions for deviations or technical challenges during the project.
  • Prepare and negotiate change orders related to scope or workload.


Experience and Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree (BSc) in a relevant technical field (e.g., mechanical, electrical, marine engineering).
  • Proven experience in leading large-scale, complex engineering projects - preferably in the maritime, naval, or offshore industries.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with a pragmatic and collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to make technical decisions with confidence and clarity.
  • Committed to delivering high-quality results within set project frameworks.
  • Previous experience working on Defense projects would be a significant advantage.
  • English language is a must. Dutch language would be an advantage.
  • Candidates must hold the pre-existing legal right to live/work in the EU


Location: The Netherlands, Hybrid working and travel to shipyards as needed.
