Job Title: Technical Project Manager

Job Description

This Technical Project Manager role focuses on delivering Embedded services solutions to Enterprise customers, operating at the intersection of software engineering, customer delivery and project management. You will lead projects through the full Software Development Lifecycle, keeping technical and non-technical stakeholders aligned and ensuring that complex software solutions are delivered successfully and on time. Rather than a traditional, governance-heavy PMO position, this role requires a technically credible project manager who understands how software is designed, developed, tested and released, and can work confidently with engineering teams while communicating clearly with business and customer stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Own the planning, coordination and end-to-end delivery of software projects from initiation through to release and customer implementation.
  • Drive project delivery throughout the Software Development Lifecycle, from requirements and design through development, testing, release and customer delivery.
  • Build, maintain and continuously update delivery plans, milestones, dependencies and priorities using Jira.
  • Coordinate software releases and ensure all activities remain aligned to agreed delivery commitments and timelines.
  • Work closely with Software Engineers, Solution Designers, Product teams and other technical stakeholders to keep delivery on track.
  • Act as the bridge between technical teams, business stakeholders and Enterprise customers, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
  • Identify risks, dependencies and blockers at an early stage and drive them through to resolution to protect delivery timelines.
  • Translate complex technical discussions into clear actions, status updates and plans for non-technical audiences.
  • Maintain momentum and accountability across distributed, remote teams, fostering ownership and follow-through.
  • Manage changing priorities and evolving requirements while keeping customer expectations and delivery plans aligned.
  • Challenge teams constructively, asking the right questions to uncover genuine delivery blockers and technical dependencies.
  • Ensure that technical delivery remains focused on achieving meaningful customer outcomes.
Essential Skills
  • Strong experience delivering projects across the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Proven background in Agile project management and delivery, with hands-on use of Agile practices.
  • Practical experience using Jira for planning, tracking and managing software releases.
  • experience working directly with software engineering and development teams in technical delivery environments.
  • Hands-on exposure to software development environments and the way software is designed, developed, tested and released.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms, particularly AWS and/or Azure, and how they underpin modern software solutions.
  • experience in data management and data-driven environments, with the ability to discuss data-related dependencies and risks.
  • Track record of technical project delivery, particularly in complex, multi-stakeholder settings.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to balance technical, business and customer needs.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and simply to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments where not everything is perfectly defined.
  • Ability to work effectively with remote and geographically distributed teams.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • experience with Git or GitHub and familiarity with modern source control practices.
  • background in accounting or financial services environments.
  • experience in FinTech or financial technology organisations.
  • Exposure to Enterprise SaaS products and their implementation.
  • experience delivering API and integration-led projects.
  • background working with cloud-based software products.
  • experience in customer-facing software implementations and go-lives.
  • Track record of delivering complex technology solutions into Enterprise customers.
  • Agile-related qualifications or certifications are preferred.
  • Technical curiosity and the ability to engage in conversations about software development, APIs, cloud technology, data, releases and technical dependencies.
  • Cultural attributes such as being delivery-led, proactive, customer-focused, pragmatic, collaborative, accountable, low ego and comfortable with pace and ambiguity.
Why Work Here?

You will work in a culture that values delivery, ownership and collaboration, where technical curiosity is encouraged and proactive problem-solving is recognised. The environment offers exposure to Enterprise customers and complex technology solutions, giving you the opportunity to deepen your experience in modern software, cloud and data-driven projects. You will be trusted to operate with autonomy, supported by engaged technical teams, and empowered to build strong relationships across remote and distributed groups. This setting promotes clear communication, low ego teamwork and a focus on achieving real customer outcomes, providing a rewarding platform for professional growth.

Work Environment

You will operate in a modern, technology-led environment focused on software engineering, cloud platforms and data-driven solutions. Projects follow the Software Development Lifecycle and Agile delivery practices, with Jira used for planning, tracking and managing releases, and Git or GitHub supporting source control. Work typically involves collaboration with remote and geographically distributed teams, requiring effective online communication and relationship building. The pace is dynamic and priorities can evolve, so you will work in a setting that embraces ambiguity, pragmatism and flexibility while maintaining clear accountability for delivery outcomes.
