About greenmetrics.ai

greenmetrics.ai is a Lisbon-based startup at the forefront of climate adaptation and environmental sustainability. We develop cutting-edge technological solutions using smart sensors, IoT connectivity and data analytics to collect and process environmental data, enabling cities to improve resilience against climate change.

We envision a future in which technology and human ingenuity are allies of the natural world, a future where data guides us on the path to a more sustainable, balanced and resilient way of living, preserving the delicate balance of our planet for future generations.

We are an independent and profitable startup with proven technology operating in 17 cities across Portugal and 5 cities in Brazil. We're growing rapidly with global ambitions and we need your contribution to help us accelerate toward our goals.

The Role

If you want to lead projects that actually matter, this is the role for you. We're looking for a Technical Project Manager to join our team and bridge the gap between ambitious product goals and high-quality technical execution.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will own the project lifecycle. You'll be the link between engineering, data science and operations, ensuring that our roadmap is translated into actionable sprints and that our delivery remains predictable, transparent and high-impact.

If you're looking for something more purposeful than traditional project management, this is your chance to apply your background and skills to one of the world's most pressing challenges we are facing today and we'd love to hear from you.

You will be responsible for:

  • Translating high-level software product goals into detailed user stories and technical tasks, ensuring the backlog is refined and prioritized.
  • Mastering our Jira and Confluence environment to track velocity, manage dependencies and provide clear documentation for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Managing the end-to-end delivery of software projects, managing ceremonies using Agile/Scrum methodologies (Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Reviews and Retrospectives).
  • Acting as the primary point of contact between Engineering, Data Science and Operations to ensure technical requirements are met and risks are mitigated.
  • Defining clear milestones, timelines and deliverables for projects and data-driven initiatives.
  • Monitoring sprint health and project progress, providing data-driven reports on delivery timelines and resource allocation.

Your profile:

  • 5-10 years of experience in Technical Project Management, specifically within software development environments (SDLC) and SaaS.
  • A STEM background or a strong technical understanding of SDLC that allows you to talk with engineers and data scientists (e.g., understanding APIs, data pipelines).
  • Advanced proficiency in Jira and Confluence to build dashboards, manage complex workflows and keep documentation organized.
  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and a proven ability to apply them flexibly in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English.
  • Based in the European Union (mandatory).

What you're looking for

  • Real ownership and autonomy by not just tracking project execution, but being directly involved in decisions that shape projects, funding strategies and the future of climate risk management.
  • Competitive compensation where your expertise will be recognized and exciting career growth opportunities in a rapidly scaling startup.
  • A stake in our future, with variable compensation aligned with company goals, giving you the opportunity to directly benefit from the impact we're creating together.
  • We embrace a hybrid work culture that values flexibility, where you can combine time at our Lisbon office with remote work, choosing the balance that helps you perform at your best.
  • Impact with purpose, through the chance to lead projects that protect communities from climate change and contribute to global climate resilience.
