Technical Programme / Project Manager
Hertford - 5 Days Onsite Permanent, Full-Time

Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Programme / Project Manager to join their team in Hertford. This is a permanent opportunity to lead the delivery of complex software projects in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Please note: This is an onsite role (5 days per week) in Hertford, so we're looking for someone who can fully commit to being present and embedded within the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end software project delivery using Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and offshore team
  • Manage complex project roadmaps, resourcing, and stakeholder engagement
  • Oversee delivery across the full software lifecycle - from requirements and solution design to release and post-go-live support
  • Own project governance, documentation, budgeting, and risk management
  • Act as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders
What We're Looking For:
  • 10+ years in Technical Programme/Project Management
  • ?Proven experience delivering software in a highly transactional environment (e.g. retail, eCommerce, logistics, etc.)
  • Strong technical background with understanding of solution architecture and development processes
  • Experience managing distributed teams, including offshore delivery
  • Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and other modern project tools
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • A background in consulting would be beneficial, particularly if you're confident managing external client relationships
