Job Description
Join our team as a Technical Officer - Engineering Manufacturing Team Are you passionate about hands-on technical work and supporting engineering education and research? We're looking for a Technical Officer to join our Science and Engineering Manufacturing team within Technical Services.

This is a great opportunity to work in a collaborative, future-focused environment that values innovation, flexibility, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Supporting students and staff across various academic programmes.
  • Providing technical expertise in specialist labs and workshops.
  • Assisting with research, consultancy, and knowledge exchange projects.
    Working flexibly across different technical areas and teams.
  • Promoting safe working practices and maintaining high standards.
What You'll Bring Experience with material testing equipment, such as:
  • Tensiometers
  • Hardness testers
  • Impact testers
  • Servo hydraulic test machines
  • Solid understanding of Health & Safety in lab/workshop environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills.
  • A proactive, supportive approach to working with students and staff.
