Salary / BenefitsSalary is between £33,048 and £38,169 per annum DOE and Qualifications, plus up to a £10,000 market supplement, 45 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, Teacher's Pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.

About the roleWe are currently seeking a Technical Lecturer in Building Services to join our Construction department at The Bedford College Group.
Responsibilities- Curriculum Delivery & Built Environment Education - Deliver high quality teaching, assessment and quality assurance across Building Services and Built Environment programmes, supporting learner progression and employability.
- Teaching, Learning & Student Development - Provide engaging, inclusive and practical learning experiences, supporting learners to develop knowledge, skills and real world understanding.
- Assessment, Progress & Behaviour Management - Monitor learner progress, provide feedback, manage behaviour and implement interventions to ensure achievement and positive outcomes.
- Planning, Resources & Safe Learning Environments - Develop schemes of work, prepare learning materials and maintain safe, compliant teaching environments through effective planning and risk management.
- Professional Practice, Collaboration & Continuous Improvement - Contribute to curriculum development, team activities and external engagement, while upholding safeguarding, EDI, health & safety and CPD standards.
- Qualifications, Vocational Expertise & Development - Level 3 qualification in Plumbing & Heating or Electrical Installations, supported by industry experience and commitment to achieving teaching, assessing and further professional qualifications.
- Teaching, Delivery & Learner Engagement - Able to deliver engaging teaching across vocational programmes and levels, using varied approaches to motivate learners and support achievement.
- Industry Knowledge, Quality & Health & Safety - Up to date technical knowledge and understanding of quality assurance systems, with strong application of health and safety standards in practical environments.
- Organisation, IT & Progress Monitoring - Strong organisational and IT skills (including Teams/ProMonitor), able to maintain accurate records, track learner progress and intervene effectively to support success.
- Professional Values, CPD & Flexibility - Committed to safeguarding, continuous professional development and learner centred practice, with flexibility to work across sites and adapt to departmental needs.
