On behalf of our client, Royal London. We are looking for a Technical Lead (Hands-on Software experience) for a 6 Month based in Edinburgh (2 days per week in the office).
Purpose of the Role:
As Technical Lead you will join a major large-scale migration programme. This is a hybrid role, blending technical leadership with integration across multiple development teams and workstreams.
You will act as the key escalation point for technical issues, working closely with developers, architects, and third-party vendors to ensure a smooth migration.
What you'll do:
- Serve as the escalation point for technical issues across the programme.
- Provide SME-level guidance on application integration and delivery.
- Support and guide developers across multiple workstreams, resolving blockers and ensuring alignment.
- Coordinate integration across diverse technologies (.NET, Java, Shell) into a cohesive solution.
- Define and drive the technical integration strategy across streams.
- Oversee technical delivery with a focus on application-level integration and Back End solutions.
- Ensure release schedules and testing cycles are successfully coordinated and delivered.
The skills you'll need:
- Strong technical background; ideally background as Software Architect Senior Developer with programme delivery experience.
- Expertise in application-focused delivery and integration.
- Proven track record in large-scale migration projects.
- Strong technical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Previous release management experience, including.
