Technical Lead - Braze Campaigns

Based: Hybrid - Remote & London
Rate: £Market rates p/d (via Umbrella company)

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the end-to-end technical implementation of Braze-powered marketing campaigns across multiple channels including:
o Email
o Push Notifications (Mobile & Web)
o In-App Messaging
o Content Cards
* Architect and execute complex customer life cycle journeys using Braze Canvas.
* Leverage Liquid Scripting to build dynamic and personalized content at scale.
* Configure and manage Braze SDKs, custom events, and user attributes to support behavioural targeting.
* Integrate Braze with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) such as mParticle, Segment, or similar tools.
* Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure reliable and privacy-compliant data ingestion and modelling.
* Develop and maintain robust campaign QA processes, ensuring flawless execution and high-quality customer experiences.
* Define and monitor key metrics, support A/B testing, and optimize performance based on data-driven insights.
* Provide technical mentorship to junior team members and ensure adherence to best practices in marketing technology.
Key Skills & Experience:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Technical Lead - Braze Campaigns to join our team in London. The ideal candidate will bring 8+ years of overall professional experience, with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on development and implementation using the Braze platform.
This role is critical in leading the design, development, and optimization of multi-channel, data-driven customer engagement campaigns. You will work cross-functionally with marketing, product, engineering, and data teams to deliver personalized customer journeys and ensure seamless platform integration.
* Ideally 8+ years of total experience in marketing technology, customer engagement platforms, or software development.
* Ideally 3 years of direct, hands-on experience working with Braze in a technical or implementation capacity.
* Deep understanding of the following Braze modules and features:
o Braze Canvas (journey orchestration)
o Email Campaigns (HTML/CSS, dynamic content, A/B testing)
o Push Notifications (mobile/web)
o In-App Messaging and Content Cards
o Custom Events and User Attributes
o Liquid Templating for personalization
o Braze APIs and SDK integrations
* Strong proficiency in data modelling, customer segmentation, and journey personalization.
* Experience integrating Braze with Customer Data Platforms (eg, mParticle, Segment, Tealium).
* Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and web technologies.
* Knowledge of data privacy regulations (eg, GDPR, CCPA) and campaign compliance best practices.
* Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
* Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK and committed to working from the office as part of a collaborative team environment.
