Job Description
Technical, IT Lead (IT Manager) - Part Time

Location: London (Hybrid)
Duration: 3 Days per-week, 12 month contract
Rate: £250 per day, inside IR35

We are seeking an IT Leader, looking for a part time leadership position, on a 12 month contract. A manager to lead and deliver the organisation'sIT Roadmap, ensuring technology services remain reliable, secure and aligned to business priorities.

The role has a strong focus on IT planning, supplier management and roadmap delivery, supporting the transition from a Virtual Data Centre to Cloud-based services. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure technology decisions, governance and investment support current and future organisational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and manage the IT and Data Roadmap, ensuring delivery aligns with business priorities and Cloud transition objectives.

  • Lead day-to-day IT services through third-party suppliers, including IT Vendors.

  • Manage IT supplier performance, contracts and renewal schedules across software, hardware and services.

  • Oversee IT change and release processes across all platforms.

  • Provide regular updates to the CIO on roadmap progress, delivery status, risks and budgets.

  • Lead cost optimisation and value-for-money initiatives across IT.

  • Maintain ownership of IT assets, including hardware and software registers.

  • Own IT governance, risk and compliance activities, ensuring alignment with regulatory and industry standards.

  • Manage external Information Governance audits and annual penetration testing.

  • Drive adoption and governance of Microsoft 365 collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive).

  • Maintain the cyber security risk register and oversee regular security reviews.

  • Support IT incident and security communications as required.

Key Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience leading IT services with a strong focus on IT roadmaps and delivery planning.

  • Demonstrable experience managing third-party suppliers and IT contracts.

  • Strong understanding of IT governance, risk and compliance.

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and modern workplace environments.

  • Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and technical partners.
