GIS Analyst - 12 months+ - BE

For a leading organisation in the infrastructure and energy sector, we are looking for an experienced GIS Specialist. In this role, you will work on geospatial data, network models, and infrastructure support. You will play a central part in a long-term programme with high visibility and strong contractual stability.

Are you technically strong in GIS, do you enjoy working in complex network environments, and do you speak fluent French? Then this is an attractive long-term assignment with a high rate.

What you will do

• Support geospatial data, infrastructure, and network-related activities
• Manage, analyse, and improve GIS data and data quality
• Collaborate with technical and operational teams on geographic information systems
• Optimise map layers, datasets, network models, and workflows
• Provide troubleshooting and technical support for GIS applications
• Contribute to modernisation and digitalisation initiatives across network environments
• Advise on best practices for geospatial data, visualisation, and infrastructure structuring

Knock-out criteria (mandatory)

Candidates must meet all of the following requirements:

• Native-level French speaker - essential with no exceptions
• Proven strong technical GIS experience
• Experience in the energy or utilities sector is a strong asset
• Experience working with geospatial data, networks, or infrastructure support
• Ability to act quickly and available to start soon (urgent: exclusive until Friday)
• Willing to work partly onsite in Belgium

What we are also looking for

• Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
• Proactive and solution-oriented mindset
• Experience working in large enterprise environments
• Strong collaboration skills with technical teams and stakeholders
• Experience with GIS tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms is a plus

Assignment details

• Start: As soon as possible
• Duration: 12 months+
• Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week)
• Location: Belgium (hybrid/onsite)
• Contract type: Freelance
• Rate: High rate, depending on experience
