Technical Data Consultant - 3 Month Contract
Up to £550 P/D Outside IR35
Manchester - Hybrid (x2 days a week)

We're recruiting on behalf of a well established gambling and gaming organisation seeking a Technical Data Consultant to support a focused discovery and documentation engagement.

This is a hands on contract for someone who enjoys stepping into complex, legacy leaning data environments and making them understandable, supportable, and less reliant on individual knowledge.

You'll be brought in to:

• Investigate and reverse engineer live data platforms with limited documentation
• Build a clear picture of the current state data architecture and data flows
• Review and document business critical SQL and transformation logic
• Produce practical operational documentation and runbooks
• Work closely with long tenured engineers to capture knowledge and reduce key person risk

The focus is clarity, stability, and handover - not greenfield delivery or re platforming.

• Background as a Data Consultant, Data Architect, or similar
• Solid knowledge of SQL / SQL Server and AWS based data platforms
• Comfortable creating architecture diagrams, data definitions, and operational guides
• Rate: Up to £550 per day
• Duration: 3 months initially

This role will suit someone who enjoys problem solving in ambiguous environments and leaving things in a better state than they found them.
