Technical Customer Services Officer

We are seeking a Technical Customer Services Officer based in Trafford Park to join our PPE Customer Services Team. BTTG and Shirley, with over a century of experience in textiles and related products, are leading independent organizations specializing in testing, certification, and auditing of Personal Protective Equipment and Construction Products.

Our services include testing, certification, auditing, advising, and training. We operate in nine countries, assist clients in over 70 countries, and have laboratories in the UK, India, and other locations worldwide.

The main duties of this role include:

  1. Managing customer service email inboxes, responding to client inquiries, logging enquiries, and uploading test results.
  2. Preparing and issuing quotations to clients.
  3. Providing excellent customer service to meet client needs.
  4. Performing technical contract reviews of test submissions.
  5. Creating sales orders using SAGE and CRM systems.
  6. Supporting the Sample Logging team, including opening parcels and photographing samples.
  7. Meeting KPIs through the above tasks.

Qualifications and skills required:

  1. Relevant Science degree or equivalent, or 3 years of experience in a similar technical environment.
  2. Flexibility and willingness to support the team as needed.
  3. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  4. Effective time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
  5. Interest in textiles is preferred.
  6. Good communication skills.
  7. Proactive and self-motivated attitude.
  8. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
