We're looking for a Technical Consultant to play a pivotal role in delivering high quality, fit for purpose solutions across one major client engagement or a portfolio of client projects within our UK Technical Consultancy team.

In this role,you'llbe at the forefront of shaping and delivering technical solutions that integrate GBST's wealth management platform into our clients' operating environments. Working with cloud based, microservices driven technology,you'llpartner closely with clients and internal teams to design,validate, and deliver robust architectures that support business outcomes and long term scalability.You'llact as a trusted technical advisor to our clients, providing leadership across solution design, integration architecture, and delivery, while contributing to the continuous improvement of GBST products and practices.

What U will do:

• Provide technical leadership across one major client engagement or multiple client projects, ensuring consistent, high quality solution design and delivery.
• Help define end to end solution and integration architectures, aligning client requirements with GBST's enterprise and product architecture.
• Work closely with clients, Business Analysts, Project Managers, and Technical Architects to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Secure stakeholder agreement on solution designs, presenting options and recommendations where appropriate.
• Deliver expert consultancy on GBST products, helping clients understand how platform capabilities can best support their business and technical objectives.
• Identify gaps between client requirements and existing product capabilities, recommending solutions, enhancements, or architectural approaches.
• Support pre sales activities by leading technical inputs into RFIs and RFPs and delivering technical workshops and demonstrations for prospective clients.
• Collaborate with internal product and engineering teams, feeding back insights from client implementations to improve product quality and usability.
• Promote best practices and contribute to consistent, high quality technical delivery across the team.

Desired Skills and Experience

U will be someone with:

• Extensive experience across the full software development lifecycle, with strong exposure to Agile delivery methodologies.
• Strong background designing and delivering complex, multi tier web applications and integration solutions.
• Deep technical expertise in Java based enterprise systems (e.g. Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, REST/SOAP services).
• Solid understanding of cloud based SaaS architectures, ideally within AWS environments, including scalability, security, and integration considerations.
• Experience with microservices, containerisation, and messaging technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ or similar).
• Ability to produce clear, high quality technical design documentation that can be understood by both clients and internal engineering teams.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with technical and non technical stakeholders, managing expectations and building trusted relationships.
• Experience working in client facing roles within financial services, wealth management, or similarly complex regulated environments.
