Our New Reservoirs Programme is the most ambitious and complex infrastructure project we've ever undertaken, delivering two multi-billion-pound raw water reservoirs in the Fens and in Lincolnshire. About the role We're looking for a Technical Assurance Manager who shares our drive to do the right thing, every day. You will ensure that the Reservoirs programme adopts a systematic approach to managing technical risks and that all technical requirements are met throughout a project's lifecycle to assure the First Line of Defence. What You'll Be Doing Lead Technical Assurance: Develop and implement the Technical Assurance Strategy, ensuring every technical requirement is met across the project lifecycle. You'll be the first line of defence, building confidence for sponsors, regulators, investors, and our communities. Aligning Technical Assurance with Programme Technical Risk: Understand programme technical risks, and ensure Technical Assurance activities are proportionally focused on areas of Key technical risk. Drive Excellence: Oversee the creation and execution of Technical Assurance Plans, collaborating with delivery teams, supply chain partners, and subject matter experts to guarantee quality and integrity. Champion Reporting & Improvement: Produce clear, insightful reports that drive continuous improvement and facilitate the escalation of key issues. Promote Safety: Foster a culture of health, safety, and wellbeing, ensuring our zero-accident ambition is always front of mind. Engage & Educate: Lead a programme-wide education initiative to embed the value of technical assurance across the team. What We're Looking For Experience managing multiple stakeholders Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills Knowledge of engineering assurance processes and risk management Strategic and tactical thinking, with strong project management and IT skills Commercial awareness and a collaborative, problem-solving mindset A passion for building trust, encouraging challenge, and always focusing on the right outcome A degree in a relevant engineering discipline (postgraduate and chartered status desirable)We're more than just a water company.
