About the Role We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Technical Assistant to support our ready meals production team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining food safety, quality standards, and compliance within our food manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the technical and quality team in maintaining food safety and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, BRC, and food safety regulations.
• Carry out factory inspections, hygiene checks, and internal audits.
• Assist with product specifications, documentation, and traceability records.
• Monitor production processes to ensure quality and safety requirements are met.
• Support customer and supplier technical documentation where required.
• Assist with complaint investigations and corrective actions.
• Work closely with production and development teams to maintain product consistency.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a food manufacturing or ready meals environment.
• Good knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and quality systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced food production environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
• Preferred Food Science / Food Technology qualification.
• Level 3 Food Safety or HACCP training.
• Experience working with retail or food service specifications.
