Duration: 12 month contract to Perm
Hybrid: 3 days onsite in the Eindhoven area

Our client is seeking a hands-on Technical Application Manager/Functional Application Engineer with a strong focus on application support, maintenance, and operational excellence. In this position, you will play a key role in ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of business-critical applications that support a complex international business environment.
Acting as a central point of contact for application-related incidents, operational issues, and system improvements, you will focus on maintaining application reliability while proactively identifying opportunities to enhance performance and reduce operational risk.
You will work closely with Agile teams, business analysts, developers, infrastructure specialists, and business stakeholders to ensure applications remain robust, scalable, and aligned with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical and functional support for critical business applications.
• Monitor application availability, performance, and overall system health.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and production issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions.
• Support application releases, deployments, and production changes.
• Maintain and monitor integrations, interfaces, and data flows.
• Ensure data quality and consistency across interconnected systems.
• Coordinate and perform application maintenance activities.
• Assist with testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities where required.
• Drive automation initiatives and operational process improvements.
• Maintain technical, operational, and support documentation.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to ensure service continuity.
• Support application life cycle management, upgrades, and enhancements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within Agile teams.

Required Experience & Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• 3-5+ years of experience in Application Management, Application Support, Production Support, or a comparable position.
• Experience working across both business and IT stakeholder groups.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
• Understanding of administrative and financial business processes is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
