JVC is seeking an experienced Technical & Production Manager to oversee the smooth & efficient running of Jasmin's new creation, premiering Sept 26, & to manage operations within our purpose built creation space in Ashford, JV H.O.M.E. Open to freelance/part time discussions for the right candidate.
The Technical & Production Manager will play a leading role across Operations, Compliance, Technical, and Production, working closely with both the Artistic and Executive Directors & the wider Senior Management Team (SMT). Adaptable & calm under pressure, the ideal candidate will take a hands on approach equally confident managing all aspects of the company's touring activity as they are overseeing the technical operations of our production spaces, training studios & facilities at JV H.O.M.E.
This is an exciting time for the company, with 3 touring shows in repertoire & a new production about to go into development. The Technical & Production Manager will play a key role in bringing this new work to life & preparing it for tour.
JV H.O.M.E. serves as a cultural hub dedicated to creation, production, education, and multidisciplinary artistic exchange. The Technical & Production Manager will ensure the company remains fully equipped and operates efficiently both within JV H.O.M.E. and on tour.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the technical and production management of Jasmin's new creation, from development and rehearsal through to premiere and touring
- Work closely with the Artistic Director and creative team to ensure all creation and rehearsal spaces are fully equipped and technically prepared
- Plan, manage, and oversee all touring technical schedules, ensuring smooth coordination between venues, technical teams, and logistics partners
- Coordinate all get ins, performances, and get outs, ensuring each stage of the touring process runs safely, efficiently, and on schedule
- Manage the technical operation of shows on tour, including supervising lighting, sound, AV, and rigging as required
- Oversee the transportation of sets, props, and equipment, including managing freight schedules, customs arrangements (where applicable), and on site logistics
- Arrange & manage hire or purchase of equipment ensuring value for money and compliance with company budgets and safety standards.
This is a full-time, permanent position however, we are open to discussing freelance or part time arrangements with the right candidate.
